Rubicon Theatre Presents The Mystery of Irma Vep, Previews 10/12

When the night is dark and stormy, or the mist is rising on the moors under a full moon; when there are macabre stirrings in the tomb, or the unearthly howling of laughter from audience members - it must be the season for THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, Charles Ludlam's ribald sendup of gothic romance and horror that begins preview next Wednesday, October 12, opens October 15, and continues through November 6 at RUBICON THEATRE COMPANY.

Victory Gardens Produces In The Next Room or the vibrator play, Closes 10/9

Artistic Director Chay Yew and Executive Director Jan Kallish announce the Chicago Premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Tony-nominated play In the Next Room or the vibrator play directed by Associate Artistic Director Sandy Shinner. The production closes October 9, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The Press Opening is Monday, September 19, 2011.

Mark St. Germain’s THE BEST OF ENEMIES Returns to Barrington Stage, 10/5-16

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, today announced the return of the acclaimed new play, The Best of Enemies, by Mark St. Germain (author of Freud's Last Session), for a run from October 5 through 16 at the BSC Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

Actors Theatre Opens TOM SAWYER Oct. 6

Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein is pleased to present The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in a lively new adaptation by Laura Eason and directed by Jeremy B. Cohen, playing in the Pamela Brown Auditorium at Actors Theatre of Louisville as part of the Brown-Forman Series, previewing October 4 & 5, then opening October 6 and running through October 29. THE BEST OF ENEMIES Returns to BSC
