Cantata Singers' expanded Chamber Series begins tonight, November 17, 2017 at 7:30pm at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences with Made in America, a program of twentieth-century American chamber music by Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, and Irving Fine. Cantata Singers' Chamber Series will be in residence at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge for the entirety of the 2015-16 Season.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2015-16 season today, November 14, 2015 at 2pm with the return of three-time Amateur Night at the Apollo winners Black Violin.  Celebrating the September 18, 2015 release of their newest album, Stereotypes, this classically trained violin duo inspires young people to get fired up about classical music with their unique fusion of classical, hip-hop, jazz, blues, and R&B. A concert of music made by and for old friends, the program, titled Piano Quintets with Simone Dinnerstein,features the New York premiere of Jefferson Friedman's new piano quintet The Heart Wakes Into for the Chiara and pianist Simone Dinnerstein, paired with Brahms' Piano Quintet in F minor. The Chiara Quartet's residency will continue on Today, March 18, 2016 with Bartók and Frank and on May 6, 2016 with Death of the Maiden.

American Lyric Theater is proud to launch a new series, ALT Alumni: Composers and Librettists in Concert, celebrating the successes of its Composer Librettist Development Program. Beth Morrison Projects (BMP) and HERE are pleased to announce full casting for the fourth annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now festival, running January 6-17, 2016, in New York City. Deemed "suddenly indispensable" (New Yorker), this 'bracingly innovative' Festival, founded, directed, and curated by Kristin Marting (of HERE), Beth Morrison (of BMP), and Kim Whitener (of HERE), has quickly become 'a point of reference" in the field (The New York Times) over three astoundingly successful seasons.
