VIDEO: Current and Former MAMMA MIA! Cast Members Mark the Show's 20th Anniversary

On Saturday 6 April, Mamma Mia! celebrated its 20th birthday in London. The current cast were joined on stage for the Finale of Dancing Queen by 13 former 'Dynamos', including the original 'Donna', Siobhan McCarthy, and the original 'Rosie', Jenny Galloway. Producer Judy Craymer paid tribute to the original 'Tanya', Louise Plowright, who sadly passed away in 2016.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle announced the recipients of its 50th annual awards for distinguished achievement in theatre last night, Monday, April 8, 2019, at Pasadena Playhouse. Wenzel Jones presided over the festivities, and Christopher Raymond served as music director.

Damsel Productions presents the world premiere of Tabitha Mortiboy's The Amber Trap, directed by Hannah Hauer-King. Jenny Bolt (Jo) joins Fanta Barrie (Hope), Misha Butler (Michael) and Olivia Rose Smith (Katie) completes the cast. The production opens on 29 April at Theatre503, with previews from 24 April and runs until 18 May.

Dessoff Choirs Ends Walt Whitman Season With Eve Beglarian And Matthew Aucoin

Hailed as "one of the great amateur choruses of our time" (New York Today) for its "full-bodied sound and suppleness" (The New York Times), The Dessoff Choirs ends its 94th season on the 200th anniversary of the birth of American poet and journalist Walt Whitman (1819-1892). For the final concert of a season-long celebration of Whitman's bicentennial, Dessoff's 50 singers will perform exquisite choral settings of Whitman's poetry, including works by Howard Hanson and Gregg Smith as well as the world premieres of Eve Beglarian's None More Than You, Ian Sturges Milliken's Quicksand Years, and Matthew Aucoin's choral settings of Crossing, both commissioned by Dessoff. Yale School Of Drama Announces Yale Design Showcase

YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA (James Bundy, Dean; Victoria Nolan, Deputy Dean) has announced the inaugural Yale Design Showcase, May 13-15 at 149 York Street, New Haven, Connecticut: an opportunity for theater professionals to visit the campus and meet the 2019 Class of scenic, costume, lighting, sound, and projection designers, and to see their work up close.

MerleFest Announces Chris Austin Songwriting Competition Finalists

From its first incarnation in 1993, MerleFest's annual Chris Austin Songwriting Competition has seen the likes of Gillian Welch, Tift Merritt, and Martha Scanlan rise to the top of an always competitive field of up-and-coming songwriters. Legendary songwriters have presided over the competition from the start as judges, too. Darrell Scott, Hayes Carll, and the late, great Guy Clark have all taken a turn at judging the CASC. This year, the event will be judged byJoey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale, better known as The Milk Carton Kids, Cruz Contreras of The Black Lillies, and Texas-troubadour Radney Foster. Mr. Americana Jim Lauderdale will host the competition and Mark Bumgarner will return as emcee for the finalist contest taking place at MerleFest's Austin Stage on Friday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m.

Travers Brothership Announce 2019 Tour

Asheville, NC-based Travers Brothership have announced a lengthy tour in support of their latest release, Let The World Decide. Starting April 5th, the Brothership takes flight into new, uncharted territory, storming the east coast and deep south with their homegrown brand of funky, improvisation-driven rock and roll. Fans can see Travers Brothership in a headlining role for roughly half of this tour while the rest of the dates will be in support of fan favorites like Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, DJ Logic and Jeff Sipe, guitar hero Eric Gales, Southern Avenue, and JJ Grey & Mofro.

KILLING EVE Leads BAFTA Television Nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the 2019 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2018. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 12 May with the British Academy Television Craft Awards taking place two weeks earlier on Sunday 28 April at The Brewery, London.

Full Cast Announced For Damsel Productions World Premiere Of Tabitha Mortiboy's THE AMBER TRAP

Hannah Hauer-King and Kitty Wordsworth co-founded Damsel Productions in 2015 to place women's voices centre stage. Damsel Productions hopes to be one cog in a larger and crucial movement addressing both the misrepresentation and under-representation of women in theatre. The idea is simple: to bring together women directors, producers, designers and all other creatives to breathe life into scripts exclusively written by women. Damsel Productions aim to provoke, inspire and entertain with true and honest representations of the female experience. Critically successful productions include the UK premiere of Ruby Rae Spiegel's Dry Land (Jermyn Street Theatre), Izzy Tennyson's Brute (Soho Theatre), Phoebe Eclair-Powell's Fury (Soho Theatre), Izzy Tennyson's Grotty (The Bunker) and Abi Zakarian's Fabric (Soho Theatre & London community centre Tour). Damsel also recently produced London's first ever all women directing festival Damsel Develops at The Bunker.

Walking a fine line between the personal and the political,Spend Your Youth's origins are a coming-of-age story. As a lot of our most classic stories begin, Shakespear's coming-of-age happened amidst a time of escalating national division and social unease; a time where ideas of clarity or merriment or self are few and far between. Spend Your Youth opens with the line “nineteen ninety-four—precious years we had between the wars”, giving listeners an immediate idea of where these songs come from.

Groove With Me's Benefit TAP & TAPAS With Tastings By New York's Top Chefs & Restaurants

The 15th annual Tap & Tapas will take place on Monday, April 1st from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include a walk around tasting of New York's top chefs and restaurants.
