Under the direction of the Village Players Theatre?s Artist Director, Carl O?cchipinti, this charming play tells the story of the relationship between an elderly Southern Jewish widow and her African-American chauffeur. Over their twenty five years together, spanning 1948-1973, their friendship evolves as they face aging and complex social issues of the time. Written by Alfred Uhry, he won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work.
Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that celebrated journalist, novelist, and producer Dominick Dunne will provide voice-over narration for the world premiere musical, Being Audrey, which begins performances Friday, March 27, at 8pm at 220 East 4 Street, between Avenues A and B. The opening is set for Sunday, April 5, at 3pm.

Broadway darlings Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich are slated to headline Los Angeles? Catalina Jazz Club on March 19, 2009, 8pm it was announced today by their concert promoters, Spot-On Entertainment. Joining Heisler and Goldrich will be a bevy of musical talents including Broadway stars Susan Egan and Adam Hunter along with Dave Barrus, David Goldsmith, Mike Croiter and Sarah O?Brien.
