Sideshow Theatre to Present World Premiere of TYRANT, 5/24-6/29

Sideshow Theatre Company concludes its 2013-14 season with the world premiere of TYRANT by Artistic Associate Kathleen Akerley, co-directed by Kathleen Akerley and Ensemble Member Megan A. Smith, playing May 24 - June 29, 2014 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival Set for 3/19-22; Full Line-up Announced

Stage 773 has announced the line-up for their second annual Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival, running from March 19 through March 22. Nerd Fest stems from the popularity of HEY, I'M A BIG FAN, a series of fun, free monthly fan fiction events produced by Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont. The Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival celebrates all that is the Chicago nerd comedy scene; from Stand Up to Improv to one-woman puppet shows, nerds will unite for one glorious weekend in Chicago to laugh, pay homage, and perhaps worship their favorite genres of nerd-ness.

Brooklyn Museum's 4th Annual "Brooklyn Artists Ball" Slated for April 16

The Brooklyn Museum today announced that the Brooklyn Artists Ball, the fourth installment of its annual fundraising gala celebrating Brooklyn's creative community, will take place on Wednesday, April 16. This year, the Museum will honor art patrons Jane and David Walentas and artists Jenny Holzer, Ai Weiwei, and Kehinde Wiley.

Black Choreographers Festival to Run 2/9-3/8

In anticipation of its 10-year anniversary in 2014, theBlack Choreographers Festival: Here & Now announces a wide-ranging program of performances and workshops, as well as a film screening, book release, gallery exhibition and honors ceremony. This year's Festival takes place from February 9 to March 8, 2014 at venues in San Francisco and Oakland, California. Performance highlights include works by Nora Chipaumire, Gregory Dawson, Joanna Haigood, Portsha Jefferson, Marc Bamuthi Joseph and Robert Moses.

STAGE TUBE: Marti Webb Sings from TELL ME ON A SUNDAY at Don Black Birthday Concert

Barry Satchwell Smith, Robert Mackintosh, St. James Theatre Productions Ltd and Nimax Theatres present the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb, which recently extended its two week run at the Duchess Theatre through Saturday 8 March. In the video below, Webb sings 'Tell Me on A Sunday' and 'Take That Look Off Your Face' at a special birthday concert for Black.

Eureka Theatre to Present World Premiere of CRYSTAL SPRINGS, 3/6-23

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, a thought-provoking new play that interweaves the challenges of parenting in the digital age with a suspenseful tale of online misbehavior and its vicious consequences, will receive its world premiere at the Eureka Theatre in March. This latest work by rising playwright Kathy Rucker, a Humana Festival Heideman Award finalist, will be directed by award-winning British director Anna Jordan. TELL ME ON A SUNDAY Starring Marti Webb Extends Run Thru March 8

Barry Satchwell Smith, Robert Mackintosh, St. James Theatre Productions Ltd and Nimax Theatres are delighted to announce that due to further public demand, the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb will extend its two week run at the Duchess Theatre to three weeks, from Tuesday 18 February - Saturday 8 March. ESPN Announces Super Bowl XLVIII Coverage

ESPN's weeklong coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII begins Monday, Jan. 27, at 6 a.m. ET when ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike kicks off 115 hours of TV and radio programming from New York City. Shows will originate from Herald Square and Times Square Studios through Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2, when Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos face Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

St. James Theatre Productions Ltd, Barry Satchwell-Smith & Robert Mackintosh just announced that the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's classic Tell Me On a Sunday starring the original Marti Webb has been recorded for BBC Radio 2 and will air in April.
