San Francisco Opera will present the American premiere of composer Kaija Saariaho’s final opera, Innocence, at the War Memorial Opera House from June 1–21.

The 2024–25 Season includes six mainstage opera productions along with concert presentations including a one-night-only performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on October 26, honoring the work's 200th anniversary and, in the summer of 2025, a special Pride Concert celebrating San Francisco's LGBTQIA+ community.

Caissie Levy stars as Diana, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past. Donmar Artistic Director Michael Longhurst directs the long-awaited UK première of this powerful musical about a far from average family.

It’s a musical of profound emotional intelligence and accuracy. Informed and thought-provoking, it encourages reflection and promotes a healthy dialogue on the matter. Performances begin in one week for the U.S. Premiere of the international comedy sensation and 2023 Olivier Award nominated ONE WOMAN SHOW, written and performed by Liz Kingsman, in her New York stage debut.

Here it is, opera's answer to A Little Life: Kaija Saariaho's Innocence follows the aftermath of a school shooting and the emotional destruction felt by those connect to the event. An elegant but devastating meditation on the nature of violence and collective guilt.

Laguna Playhouse announced, in association with Gare St. Lazare, Ireland and the Rubicon Theatre Company, Faline England, Sorcha Fox, Conor Lovett and Joe Spano starring in the rolling Southern California premiere of THE REALISTIC JONESES, written by Will Eno and directed by Judy Hegarty-Lovett.

This April, The Royal Opera stages the long-awaited UK premiere of Innocence. The original creative team are reunited at Covent Garden alongside an outstanding ensemble cast, following the production's triumphant world premiere at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence in 2021.

Rehearsal images have been released for The Royal Opera’s new production of Dvořák’s enduring masterpiece Rusalka which opens for six performances on the main stage at Covent Garden on Tuesday 21 February.  

Rehearsal images for Phaedra are released today, as writer-director Simon Stone (Yerma, Young Vic) makes his National Theatre debut reimagining Seneca’s famous tragedy in this striking new play.

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the Southern California premiere of THE REALISTIC JONESES, Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 pm, with a press opening on Saturday, January 28 at 7:00 pm, running through Sunday, February 12.
