BIO
Alex Nahon (Puppet Coach/Puppet Designer & Fabricator) is excited to be joining Circuit Playhouse’s production of Avenue Q, marking his second staff credit with the theater. Originally from Memphis, TN, Alex is currently earning his BA in Lighting Design at Columbia College Chicago. Alex has been a puppeteer for several years and has experienced Q at many different venues. He brings with him training from UNIMA Award winning puppeteers at the Sandglass Theatre Institute for Puppetry (UCONN 2010) and Middle Tennessee State University/Tenn. Governor’s School for the Arts 2009. Previous professional credits include puppet designs for Pippin (POTS) and The Velveteen Rabbit (GCT). He recently created the mechanics for the puppet in Aesop’s Fable-ous Christmas Tree, which will go on tour in November. Currently, Alex is designing the robotics and electronics for the puppet in Operation Sidewinder, opening February 2012.
