THE LION KING Begins 5-Week Run at Tulsa Performing Arts Center Tonight


The Tulsa return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of five weeks through Sunday, July 7. In Tulsa, THE LION KING will play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday* evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m., Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m., Sunday matinees at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. with additional performances on Monday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m. *There will be no performances on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. "Thus far sales have been strong, but there are still great seats available" said Ed Payton, Chief Executive Officer, Celebrity Attractions. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

"Omahans are welcoming back this wonderful show in a big way," Joan Squires, President of Omaha Performing Arts said. "We have seats throughout the run of the show but especially in the later weeks, so check with our box office for best available seating."

The Albuquerque premiere of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, October 4 at 7:30pm at Popejoy Hall for a limited engagement of four weeks through October 28, 2012. In Albuquerque, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, Friday evenings at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 1:00pm and 6:30pm.
