S. Lewis Feemster has performed over 30 productions and in three major US cities. He recently performed at The Kennedy Center with legends Chita Rivera and Rita Moreno, and self produced his own sold-out cabaret: SO FAR. Feemster made his Off-Broadway debut in "Bob Marley's Three Little Birds" as Duppy, the role he created during the show's DC premiere. Previous credits include multiple seasons with the Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Adventure Theatre MTC, and force/collision; and performances at La Mama ETC, Folger Shakespeare Library, Synetic Theater, The Studio Theatre, and Deeply Rooted Productions.

Tiffany Mann, Kyle Taylor Parker, & David Rowen Lead JOYFUL, JOYFUL Remake for Social Change


David Rowen, producer of YouTube series davidrowen/creative, assembled a diverse group of Broadway/theatre performers to remake and put a spin on the classic gospel medley, 'Joyful, Joyful,' from the Whoopi Goldberg and Lauryn Hill film, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. The video is the creative element of a larger project to promote positive social change, and to raise awareness and charity for Teen and Police Service (TAPS) Academy, which is a program that connects at-risk youth and law enforcement to build trust and understanding between the two groups.

Rainbow Theatre Project Presents SAY YOU LOVE SATAN, 2/24


The Rainbow Theatre Project presents Say You Love Satan by D.C.-native Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in the third slot of their inaugural season of concert readings. Directed by John Moletress, Satan plays at Source in D.C. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., and will be preceded by a reading of Frank Anthony Polito's short play, White Room w/ Red Door, directed by The Rainbow Theatre Project's Producing Artistic Director, H. Lee Gable.

New Vic to Stage BOB MARLEY'S THREE LITTLE BIRDS, 2/7-23


A jammin' new musical with live accompaniment featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds shares the legendary reggae artist's message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds. Opening the day after what would have been the singer and songwriter's 69th birthday, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds performs at The New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square from February 7 - 23, 2014.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, presents a world in moral free fall with director Jonathan Munby's evocative vision of William Shakespeare's play, Measure for Measure. Munby's production, which places Shakespeare's story in a Fascist, late 1930s Europe steeped in cabaret culture, presents the dual nature of humanity as both tragic and comic. Force/collision Presents Premiere of SHAPE, Now thru 10/6


Full casting and creative team is set for force/collision's world premiere of Shape by Erik Ehn. A play regarding Black vaudeville and the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921, Shape will play tonight, September 20- October 6 at Atlas Performing Arts Center's Sprenger Theatre before moving to La MaMa ETC in November where it will play in repertory with 16 other plays by Ehn called Soulographie: Our Genocides. Creative team includes playwright Erik Ehn (The Saint Plays, Maria Kizito), director John Moletress (2011 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre as co-founder of Factory 449; 2012 Mayor's Arts Award finalist), set designer Collin Ranney (2012 Helen Hayes Award nominee), lighting designer Ariel J. Benjamin, Movement/Choreographer Ilana Faye Silverstein and sound designer Derek Knoderer. The cast includes force/collision ensemble members Dane Figueroa Edidi, Frank Britton, Karin Rosnizeck, Joshua Sticklin and guest actors Dexter Hamlett, Manu H. Kumasi, S. Lewis Feemster, Julia Smith, Alex Witherow and Luci Murphy.

Playwright Erik Ehn, Author Daphne A. Brooks and Journalist Randy Gener To Speak On Panel In Washington, D.C., 9/22


On September 22, following force/collision's 8:00pm performance of the world premiere of Shape by Erik Ehn, there will be a talkback featuring the playwright (Maria Kizito, The Saint Plays), Daphne Brooks ("Bodies in Dissent: Spectacular Performances of Race and Freedom"), Randy Gener (American Theatre Magazine, Critical Stages) and John Moletress (Founding Director, force/collision). The discussion will begin approximately at 9:10pm in the Sprenger Theatre at Atlas Performing Arts Center located at 1333 H Street NE in Washington, D.C. The audience will have a chance to ask questions of the panelists regarding the production of Shape and their work.
