Robert King is an actor/writer living in NYC. His performing career began with stand-up comedy and improvisation in his home state of New Jersey. As an actor he has been seen on various television shows and independent films, as well as numerous plays around the city. He can also be seen performing improv with his troupe, Nobody’s Token, at the UCB and PIT theatres. Robert is also a featured comedy performer for CollegeHumor.com. The Manhattan Repertory Theatre produced his first play, Boys Cry Too, and his solo show, Halfrican-American was performed Off-Broadway at The Barrow Group Theatre, where it won the award for Best Solo Show and Robert won for Best Solo Performer as part of the Network NYC’s One Act Festival. Most recently, he created and wrote the new sitcom Life of the Party. Robert wears many hats, including actor, writer, director, and producer. He is the cofounder of M.R.King Productions, an independent company focused on showcasing emerging artistic talent, and producer of the new musical Roulette. He has a great Will Smith impersonation, but more commonly gets mistaken for Carlton.
