On Monday, October 1st at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center at 7:30pm, the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical The Band's Visit-including Tony Award winners Tony Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk-presented "The Band Visits Cariani," an evening of scenes from John Cariani's plays.

The New Group's U.S. premiere of Kevin Elyot's Mouth to Mouth directed by Mark Brokaw, officially celebrated Opening Night, November 6th on Theatre Row. This production features New Group artists David Cale, Lisa Emery and Elizabeth Jasicki.

We've all heard that some actors really want to direct. But the multi-talented John Cariani--whose play cul-de-sac runs at the Transport Group through May 13th--belongs to a somewhat smaller group of thespians: those who have carved out successful second careers as playwrights.
