AnaSofía Villanueva

AnaSofía Villanueva is a freelance producer, director, writer, and equity specialist.

AnaSofía is the former Director of Impact and Engagement at the Playwrights’ Center and Director of Creative and Civic Partnerships at Artists Repertory Theatre. She was the Artistic Associate at History Theatre and regularly directed and facilitated EDI discussions for Pillsbury House Theatre’s Breaking Ice Program. She has directed at Teatro Milagro, Public Playhouse, Cornerstone Theatre Troupe, and UMN/Guthrie BFA. AnaSofía has received staged readings at Artists Repertory Theatre, Teatro Milagro, and Mixed Blood Theatre. AnaSofía has published articles for HowlRound, American Theatre Magazine, StarTribune, and authored The Power Dynamics Series: From a Mixed-Race Latina’s Perspective for MinnesotaPlaylist.
