With enfant terrible Dave St-Pierre, anything goes. His vision is cynical and sarcastic, obsessed with the human body, fearless and heavy on guerilla warfare between the sexes, gender, and sexuality. With choreography of challenging physicality, his work is defiantly in-your-face, designed to shock and surprise. Foudres completes his trilogy on human utopias with a focus on “falling in love — deeply, madly in love.” But love can be painful, hurtful and violent as well as lurid with romantic kitsch. Foudres is emotional, ruthless, provocative — and wildly entertaining.
