The Rose Theater is casting aspiring young actors to perform on the main stage in this year's summer
musical-Disney's High School Musical! Singers, dancers and actors ages 12 to 18 may audition at 6
p.m. on either March 1 or 2 at The Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam Street.

Three lucky performers will be selected to understudy professional actors and perform as Gabriella,
Troy and Sharpay in select shows! Many other teen roles are also available.

Auditioners are asked to arrive at The Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam Street, 45 minutes early with sheet
music to a prepared song and a list of conflict dates between April 27 and June 28. Students should
wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to do a cold reading, sing their prepared song and learn a
short hip-hop style dance. The director may ask students to return for callback auditions on March 4,
2009.

Disney's High School Musical will be presented June 5-28, 2009 on The Rose Theater's main stage.
Rehearsals will begin on April 27, and mandatory tech week rehearsals will be held May 30 through
June 4, 2009. Questions regarding auditions may be directed to Suzanne Withem at suzannew@
rosetheater.org or (402) 502-4647.

The Rose Theater's 08/09 season is sponsored by Children's Hospital. Show sponsors for Disney's
High School Musical include Mutual of Omaha, WOWT Channel 6, KGOR and the Nebraska Arts
Council.
