Each month, from October through March, PlayGround announces a topic to a pre-selected writers pool of NYC emerging professional playwrights, inviting submissions of original ten-page plays. The top short plays are selected and presented as script-in-hand staged readings on the last Monday of the month, featuring some of NYC’s best directors and actors. All performances are offered in-person and live simulcast, as well as admission-free (donations gratefully accepted), for maximum accessibility.
