Where do writers get their ideas and inspirations?

This is one of the questions that the Writer, the protagonist of this piece, will attempt answering. She will talk about her "visitors", and all "bad company" of the discontented people that provide her with material for her stories. Aspiring characters are usually miserable and terribly sad: "I suppose happy people don't have much to say. They're too busy being happy."

This play is about identity: characters crave a life of their own and they are desperate for the attention of a Writer in order to get a page, a paragraph, a sentence. This play is about the humanity of a Writer dealing with the potential identities and humanities of fictional characters. This play is a journey from the ether to a page, and beyond.
