TPAC Seeks Writers and Performers for Poetry Workshop; Auditions 9/17-18
BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center is conducting its 12-week poetry, writing and performance workshop culminating in performances to be held December 6th and 7th. We are looking for voices of all ages, ethnicities, styles and levels of experience.
The workshop will explore writing exercises, theater games, improvisation, movement and ensemble work in a safe, creative environment resulting in a theater piece performed by all participants. The opportunity to participate in the workshop and perform is offered without charge!
Auditions will be held at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, 199 Chambers Street (Between Greenwich & West Streets) on Tuesday, September 17h & Wednesday, September 18th from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Professional actor, director and teacher, Mario Giacalone, is the Facilitator and Director of the Writers in Performance program. Giacalone, the Program Director at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, has taught acting in New York City for over ten years and has directed both stage and film.
