MANGELLA Adds Performances At The Drilling Company 10/27-29
Project: Theater announces added performances for Ken Ferrigini's cyber-thriller MANGELLA, directed by Joe Jung. MANGELLA adds performances on Thursday, October 27; Friday, October 28; and Saturday, October 29 all at 8 PM.
This darkly comic new play (called "sexy!" by nytheatre.com and "clever and compelling!" by Backstage) joy rides through one day in the bizarre life of Ned, an underground computer hacker. His attempts to reprogram his dementia-addled father (who insists he's famous blues musician Mangella St. James) are proving impossible. Vietnamese gangsters want Ned dead. And his computer is really acting up. When a beautiful woman mysteriously shows up at his door, Ned thinks his luck may have finally turned. But has it? Nothing is what it seems in this exhilarating and heartbreaking virtual adventure.
The cast features Anthony Manna (Timon of Athens at The Public Theater, The Hasty Heart with Keen Company); Bob Austin McDonald (The Angel Project at Lincoln Center); Ali Perlwitz (NY debut); and Hannah Wilson (ATYS at BAM)
MANGELLA began performances on Thursday, October 6 and is runs through Saturday, October 29. Press opening was Wednesday, October 12 at 8 PM. The performance schedule through Sunday, October 23 remains Wednesday - Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM, Sunday at 2 PM.
