WE ARE BEING HELD plays as part of the undergroundzero festival @ Performance Space 122

A man named Peter finds himself without a memory on a lone subway car. Awakened, Peter's past is conjured by two seemingly innocuous passengers who begin to unravel with him. We Are Being Held takes place on a subway, yet there is rarely mention of that. It is firmly rooted in the numerous, minute and momentary connections that pass between us en route, but it is not confined within the walls of a train. We join peter on this ride. We are all passengers. We are being held.

We Are Being Held is Coffee Cup's latest original show, conceived & created in collaboration with director, writer & performers. Directed by Brad Krumholz, Artistic Director of NACL, with text by Delaney Britt Brewer and performed by Ishah Janssen-Faith, Rob O'Hare and Ike Ufomadu. The set is designed by Eliza Brown, with lights by Peter Hoerburger and original music composed by Mitchell Yoshida.

WE ARE BEING HELD will play as part of the underground zero festival at Performance Space 122 (150 First Avenue at East 9th Street), Thursday July 23rd 7:30pm, Friday July 24th 9:30pm, Saturday July 25th 5:30pm and 7:30pm and Sunday July 26th 7:30pm. Tickets ($15) are available online at www.ps122.org or by calling 212-352-3101.
