Murder! Mayhem! Live Music! TheaterThe's Radio Purgatory is a multi-disciplinary theatrical piece featuring the radio aesthetic of the 1930s and 1940s.
Intertwining three different radio plays -- a mystery, a romance and a crime story - the show features video, slapstick sequences, shadow play and live music. The characters seek to undermine each other with the ultimate goal of being released from the making of the plays.
The music is composed and arranged by Aldo Perez and his venerated NYC group The Renaldo The Ensemble, who also double as the performers.
