A refreshing musical "The Covenant Journey" debuted in New York City at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 5th at Lynch Theater. Its tour will continue in Philadelphia's Merriam Theatre from November 26th to 28th and at Kennedy Center in Washington DC from December 1st to 4th.

As a daughter of foreign-born parents, the lyricist of "The Covenant Journey" witnessed the hardships of an immigrant's life and depicted them through the musical's main character, Karyn. The musical explores her teenage years filled with troubles and shows her courage in fighting to achieve her dreams.

"The Covenant Journey" boasts incredible sophistication for a 21-year old composer's first work and its lyrical melody and superb harmony perfectly complements Karyn's heroic journey. The musical itself is like the composer's triumphant journey as his musical's New York debut comes only four years after its first showcase in Korea.

This combination of a rookie composer's genius, heart-moving music and an earnest story that addresses the problems of today's youth and family make "The Covenant Journey" one of the most unique musicals of the recent times. It will surely leave plenty of room for the audience to empathize with the main characters and reflect on their personal experiences.
