Today St. Ann's Warehouse announced its partnership with TodayTix, the free mobile app that provides on-demand access to the best last-minute theater tickets, to launch the first ever rush ticketing platform offering $30 tickets for every show of St. Ann's Warehouse hit Inaugural Season in its new Brooklyn waterfront theater beginning Tuesday, March 15.

Rush ticketing traditionally requires customers to arrive in-person at the box office the morning of a show to purchase same-day discounted tickets. By using TodayTix's new mobile rush ticketing technology, theater patrons can now purchase rush tickets directly from their mobile devices via the TodayTix app on a first-come, first-serve basis and pick up their tickets at the box office right before a show.

Susan Feldman, Artistic Director of St. Ann's Warehouse, said, "We're thrilled that tickets to our Inaugural Season have sold so well, and that New York theater-goers share our excitement about the shows and our new home in Brooklyn Bridge Park. We're presenting these productions because we want to give audiences the opportunity to experience them (in a singular place for theater); our partnership with TodayTix makes it possible for more people, especially new and younger audiences, to do so affordably and at the last-minute."

The new mobile rush ticketing program, which simplifies the purchase process for young, mobile-connected theatergoers, kicks off with the final weeks of Louis Jenkins' and Mark Rylance's nearly sold out Nice Fish (March 15-27), followed by the American Premiere of London's Young Vic and Joshua Andrews production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Benedict Andrews with a cast led by Gillian Anderson, Ben Foster, Corey Johnson and Vanessa Kirby (April 23 - June 4). St. Ann's will present the season's final production, the American Premiere of the international NoFit State Circus' Bianco (May 3-29) in a bespoke flying-saucer tent under the Brooklyn Bridge.

"Rush programs and day seat programs aim to broaden access to last-minute, affordable availability for productions around the world. Unfortunately, most patrons don't have the time to arrive at the theater early in the morning (or hours before curtain) in the hopes of securing these coveted tickets. In 2016, the on-demand economy has expanded customer expectations and options in almost any other industry, so it was a natural step for TodayTix to create this offering for our loyal customers" said Merritt Baer, CEO and co-founder of TodayTix. "Just as we pioneered the mobile lottery, we're excited to launch a new mobile innovation with mobile rush in partnership with St. Ann's Warehouse, and unlock access to some of the most compelling shows of the year for TodayTix users."

In order to gain access to the $30 rush tickets for performances at St. Ann's Warehouse, ticket buyers must download the TodayTix app and unlock the functionality by sharing on their Facebook or Twitter pages. Once unlocked a theatergoer has access to rush pricing daily. Beginning at 10am ET on the day of performance, Rush tickets can be purchased in a first come, first served basis until that day's rush inventory is sold out. Customers can pick up their tickets at the St. Ann's Warehouse box office beginning one hour prior to curtain.
