Ryan Marcone's THE ISLAND BOYS Premieres Tonight at Urban Stages
Producers Alison Agvent, Ryan Marcone, and Taylor Norton announce that the world premiere of THE ISLAND BOYS by Ryan Marcone will begin performances tonight, November 13th at Urban Stages in a strictly limited engagement.
Directed by Taylor Norton, the five performance-run will continue through November 15th. The production will feature lighting by Aaron Tacy, scenic design by Reilly Miller, and costumes by Elonna Bettini.
The production will star Mia Hutchinson Shaw, Ryan Marcone, Adam Schneeman, and Callan Suozzi Rearic.
Ryan Marcone's world premiere play follows Jonah and William the lone survivors of a shipwreck that made their high school retreat national news. On the fiveyear anniversary of their rescue, Jonah agrees to go on a popular morning news program to discuss the incident and life since. But when William unexpectedly shows up at the interview for his share of the spotlight, the boys are forced to face the demons they've been trying to hide for the last five years.
Urban Stages is located at 259 W. 30th Street. Tickets are currently on sale at BrownPaperTickets.com. Visit Facebook.com/TheIslandBoysPlay for more information.
