Ryan Marcone's THE ISLAND BOYS to Premiere This Month at Urban Stages

Producers Alison Agvent, Ryan Marcone, and Taylor Norton announce that the world premiere of THE ISLAND BOYS by Ryan Marcone will begin performances November 13th at Urban Stages in a strictly limited engagement.

Directed by Taylor Norton, the five­ performance-run will continue through November 15th. The production will feature lighting by Aaron Tacy, scenic design by Reilly Miller, and costumes by Elonna Bettini.

The production will star Mia Hutchinson ­Shaw, Ryan Marcone, Adam Schneeman, and Callan Suozzi ­Rearic.

Ryan Marcone's world premiere play follows Jonah and William ­ the lone survivors of a shipwreck that made their high school retreat national news. On the five­year anniversary of their rescue, Jonah agrees to go on a popular morning news program to discuss the incident and life since. But when William unexpectedly shows up at the interview for his share of the spotlight, the boys are forced to face the demons they've been trying to hide for the last five years.
