When a tough-as-nails contractor Ms. Pawk finds her senses slipping on the brink of her daughter's Ms. Keenan-Bolger wedding, the impact on her family is nothing less than seismic. A SMALL FIRE is a human parable in which unexpected loss leads to an unlikely love story. Previews begin Thursday, December 16 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theatre. Returning Playwrights Horizons alumni include Mr. Bock The Drunken City, Mr. Cullman The Drunken City, Manic Flight Reaction, Mr. Birney 8 productions stretching back to his 1976 New York debut in Gemini and including last season's Circle Mirror Transformation, Ms. Keenan-Bolger Saved and Ms. Pawk Prayer for My Enemy. Mr. Palmer, making his PH debut, is familiar to TV audiences as Deacon Palmer on the long-running series "The King of Queens."
