By:
Pryor Truth, the 2016 FringeNYC Winner for Overall Excellence in Solo Performance, written and performed by Khalil Muhammad, will be presented for a one-night engagement on Tuesday, September 20th 9pm at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St) as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival. The show runs 85 minutes
When he stood, he stood alone! Pryor Truth is the first ever one man show to magnify the genius of the man known as the greatest stand-up comedian of all time, "Richard Pryor". Pryor Truth gives a raw moment with one of the artist's most beloved characters and the only one he let live on stage for extended periods of time: Mudbone. As our guide, Mudbone is charged with brining the legend to light. as The Man behind the mystique, Mudbone says it best: who he was when, who he dared to be, the self-destructive battle he fought, and the realities of the cost of greatness.

Pryor Truth, directed by Marcus Naylor, Executive Produced by Victoria Dicce, was developed and produced by THE COLLECTIVE-NY--a theatre and film Production Company based out of New York; unites professional artists who share a responsibility to create work in the contemporary American Theatre that is emotionally truthful, socially relevant, and defiantly accessible.
