OUT OF THE SANDBOX, a new play Jack Sauer, will have its World Premiere at the June Havoc Theatre in New York City (312 W. 36th St) as part of the 10th Anniversary Season of the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival.

Sauer, who is making his playwriting debut with this production, has been acting for the past 25 years in community theatres and is an executive in the Life Sciences division of CSC.

His play is set in suburban NJ in 1958, and the second act in 1978, and deals with a little boy who loves to play in the sandbox and who is befriended by an older boy who betrays that friendship in a terrible way. 20 years later, that little boy is still struggling to leave the sandbox behind.

Clayton Phillips directs the Equity Approved Showcase featuring Jennifer Allen*, James Cronin*, Whitney Kaufman, Chris Landis*, Elliot Lanes*, Trip Langley*, Sarah Polen*, Erin Sullivan, and Bradley Wells.

OUT OF THE SANDBOX runs for 7 performances only. Tuesday, July 14 at 8:30 PM, Saturday, July 18 at 2:45 PM, Sunday, July 19 at 5:45 PM, Monday, July 20 at 8:30 PM, Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 PM, Friday, July 31 at 5:00 PM.
