Judith Jarosz and David Fuller both formerly of NY Indie Theater, Theater Ten Ten and Off Broadway Theater, Jean Cocteau Repertory proudly announce the formation of a new professional not for profit theater company, Theater 2020 "Visions for a New Millennium."

On April 21, 2010 the multiple award winning Theater Ten Ten, known for its eclectic repertoire, high standards and entertaining conceptualizations celebrated 55 years as the longest consecutively operating Equity theater company in NYC. In January of 2010 the ministry council of the Park Avenue Christian Church, the parent organization of the theater, announced that they were re-evaluating how all of the organizations within its 1010 Park Avenue building connect with the church mission and future plans for building use itself, with a possibility of more church member related community activities, as well as expanding the space allotted to its resident Day School. The staff, board, and patrons of Theater Ten Ten were very eager to uphold the company's legacy, and continue presenting professional theater, the quality of which had been produced there for years.

Producing Artistic Director Judith Jarosz and Executive Director David Fuller, decided to keep the mission and head to their beautiful home neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights to continue this professional tradition with the newly incorporated not for profit company, Theater 2020 "Visions for a New Millennium." This organization will be based in Brooklyn Heights, with plans to perform in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and upstate New York. Theater 2020 will continue the vision and outreach that Jarosz and Fuller, along with longtime members of the theater staff, and board, have pioneered and presented for over a decade.

Theater 2020 represents the natural culmination of many years in the performing arts by its Producing Artistic Directors Jarosz and Fuller, who collectively have performed, directed, choreographed or produced, on and off Broadway, at major regional houses, the New York City Opera, as well as in London and Taiwan. They have produced over 50 main stage productions, and countless cabarets, workshops, readings, music series, special events and outreach programs. Since 2000, they have together or singularly produced tours of 21 plays and musicals and have been recognized with multiple awards and nominations from many institutions including, The National GLADD awards, OOBR Awards, Nytheatre.com People of the Year, and New York Innovative Theater Awards. Hundreds of thousands of people have seen their work, children, students, adults and seniors.

Immediate future plans for Theater 2020 include a winter Gala Benefit and a summer Shakespeare production, and tour, specifics to be announced soon. "We are extremely excited to bring professional theater to our home neighborhood and to continue our outreach programs," said Jarosz, with Fuller adding: "Our neighborhood residents, business owners and political leaders are equally excited - even in these difficult economic times, live professional theater has a place in the hearts for many, many people." Jarosz and Fuller are available for interviews, and requests may be made by emailing Theater2020@gmail.com or calling 718-624-3614.
