No Accidents Productions' FOUR MESSAGES World Premiere Begins at Theatre Row Tonight

No Accidents Productions presents the world premiere of FOUR MESSAGES, a new musical by Ned Massey, author of the NYMF hit BLOODTIES, with previews set to begin tonight, April 17, prior to an official press opening on Tuesday, April 23, at Theatre Row's Studio Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Larry Loonin directs.

FOUR MESSAGES is a new musical about faith and forgiveness in a messed-up world. What would you do if you thought you'd received messages from God? Would you think you were crazy? What if all the messages then came true and then your life became progressively worse? What would you do then? Ned Massey wrote a darkly humorous autobiographical musical. That's what he did.

FOUR MESSAGES features Massey's award-winning original music, a unique brand of folk/rock/country. Christopher Sutton and Sarah Hund join Ned Massey in a world-premiere musical about the singer/songwriter's own struggles with doubt, faith, anger, and forgiveness.

The production has lighting design by Ryan Metzler; costume design by Rory Flannigan; set design by Stephen Dobay; and illustrations by Christopher Conforti. Caitlin Lyons is Production Stage Manager.

In FOUR MESSAGES, Massey revisits the story he first told in his hit musical BLOODTIES, which had its world premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2006 as a solo show, and was later presented in the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2010 as a five-character musical co-starring Katie Thompson, Nancy Ringham Smith, Christopher Kale Jones, and George McDaniel.

Ned Massey's acting credits include GUILT (Acorn Theater/Theatre Row), BLOODTIES (NYMF), THE SNOW QUEEN (Urban Stages), THE Buddy Holly STORY (Walnut St. Theater, Philadelphia), NIGHT OF NOSFERATU (NYIT Award, Best Ensemble), and principle role appearances on TV and in various independent film features. He is a member of Equity, SAG/AFTRA, and The Dramatists Guild. As a singer/songwriter, he has received many awards for both his songs and his performances. He is currently attending the BMI Lehman-Engle Musical Theater Writing Workshop.

Sarah Hund's New York credits include CYCLE at Cherry Lane Theatre; RAGS: IN CONCERT with Carolee Carmello; and Pulse Ensemble Theatre's CHAOS THEORY and REMARKABLE. She has starred in regional productions of THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, COWGIRLS, BUDDY: THE Buddy Holly STORY, and most recently, 9 TO 5. She also starred in Phil Mucci's award-winning short film "The Listening Dead" (Grand Jury Prize, New York International Independent Film Festival).

Christopher Sutton co-starred in David Ives's ANCIENT HISTORY at 45th Street Theatre and created the title role in the world premiere of THE FLIGHT OF THE LAWNCHAIR MAN at Goodspeed Opera House and NYMF (Outstanding Actor Award). Other New York credits include I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE; GOLF: THE MUSICAL; and THE IT GIRL. He played the role of Prince Herbert/Not Dead Fred in the first national tour of MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT and received a Barrymore Award for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in BUDDY: THE Buddy Holly STORY.

Director Larry Loonin made his New York stage debut in The Living Theatre's groundbreaking production of THE BRIG. He has since worked on projects as a director, actor, playwright, and even done some stage management and theatre criticism. Notably, he directed Stockard Channing and Jill Clayburgh in THE WAX MUSEUM at Brooklyn Academy Of Music. He co-foundered the Charlestown Working Theater and served as its Artistic Director for five years and was Director of the Theater Program at Lehman College. He has directed many New York productions, including INSERTS, which opened the Samuel Beckett Theater, starring Obie Award-winner Kevin O'Connor.

FOUR MESSAGES runs tonight, April 17-May 4 at Theatre Row's Studio Theatre (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues): Tuesdays at 7pm; Wednesdays - Saturdays at 8pm; with an additional performance Monday, April 22 at 7pm.
