New Ohio Theatre presents Death of the Liberal Class, by New Ohio Theatre's Artistic Director, Robert Lyons.

A burned-out, left wing journalist retreats to the family farm for peace of mind. Until his teenage daughter follows, bringing all the anger he's left behind. Not to mention her hacktivist boyfriend. When his wife shows up to negotiate their split, his newfound vision of being happy proves more elusive than he imagined.

Inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Christopher Hedges's book of the same name, Death of the Liberal Class is a dark domestic comedy about liberal parenting, capitalist co-option, and losing (or finding) your edge.

This production, directed by Jerry Heymann, features two longtime members of the New Ohio orbit): Steven Rattazzi and Arthur Aulisi. For all the details on the show, click here.

This is our first production of an original Robert Lyons play at the New Ohio, and his first in New York since Nostradamus Predicts the Death of Soho, which many of you will remember as the final production at the "old" Ohio on Wooster Street. In that way, this marks the true completion of our transition to Christopher Street.

To celebrate Robert's return, we're bringing back 2010 prices for a limited time. Use code DLC2010 for just $12 tickets. But hurry! 2010 won't stick around much longer. These tickets are for performances through Jan. 31, and you have to purchase by Jan. 20!
