NYSummer Theatre Festival 2019 To Present ACTING IS MY DESTINY By Youlim Nam

'Acting Is My Destiny', a one-woman play by Youlim Nam will be born onto the stage as part of NY Summer Theatre Festival 2019.

Nam's new piece, a one-woman monologue, reflects on the life and struggles of actors in the age of the internet.

This work initially produced as a film and had its screen debut at the Manhattan Rep's Stories Film Festival as an official selection in May 2019. This short film also has garnered attention among Nam's excellent performance from other film festivals as well as being honored with the 'Best Actress' award at the International Independent Short Awards and 'Best Monologue' award at Actors Awards, LA.

This collaboration from Director Snezhana Chernova, production designer Emily Park and Youlim Nam has gifted a second life on stage to the work, and the team is ready to drag live audiences into Jenny and Jessica's world of so many of us face.
