Mike Ruiz Helps Raise Money for the Ali Forney Center 2/26
Mike Ruiz, celebrity photographer and star of Bravo's "The A-List" and "RuPaul's Drag Race" guest co-hosts with Sweetie and the cast of weekly changing NYC drag sensations at the Times Square Arts Center! Mike Ruiz is known as Hollywood's 'It' man when it comes to working behind the lens. He has photographed the likes of Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Lance Bass, Jennifer Lopez, Dolly Parton, Brooke Shields, Vanessa Williams, Kathy Griffin and a bevy of Hollywood A-Listers, music and movie stars from all walks of life.
With a unique approach to the exploration of visceral brilliance, his finely crafted frames of reference have appeared in Vanity Fair, Elle, Interview, Spanish and Brazilian Vogue. Mike Ruiz and Ultimate Drag Off have decided to donate proceeds of each ticket sold to the Ali Forney Center-which provides housing for homeless LGBT Youth. Opening to glowing reviews, the Ultimate Drag Off is a show where audiences can expect a new show every week with theme nights, prize giveaways and in the form of 70's game shows such as 'Let's Make a Deal' mixed with 'America's Got Talent' in Drag! Past appearances have included Mary Testa, Jim Caruso, Michael Musto, Mink Stole and Christine Pedi.
The evening begins 30 minutes prior to curtain with music, giveaways, drinks and an opportunity for the audience to socialize.
