My Big Gay Italian Funeral, by Anthony J. Wilkinson, celebrated its one year anniversary last night from its first preview date at St. Luke's Theatre on June 1, 2013.

Last year, My Big Gay Italian Funeral, the sequel to Anthony J. Wilkinson's My Big Gay Italian Funeral, started a run in repertory at St. Luke's Theatre. What began as a six week trial has now turned into five extensions and both shows are now on sale to run thru the end of September. A full house supported the show last night as Wilkinson graciously thanked his constituents and audience members at curtain call for their continued support of his creations. A rooftop party at Hurley's followed the performance.

Presented by Bianco Productions, the show continues to star its creator Anthony J. Wilkinson who originated the role of Anthony Pinnunziato in My Big Gay Italian Wedding back in November of 2003. My Big Gay Italian Funeral is currently directed by Sonia Blangiardo. Wedding continues to run every Saturday at 8pm and Funeral Sunday's at 7pm. Both shows are General Managed by 22Q Entertainment.

The current cast of Funeral includes Anthony J. Wilkinson as Anthony, Hugh Hysell as Maurizio, Donna Castellano as Angela, Marissa Rosen as Maria, Debra Toscano as Toniann, Liz Gerecitano as Lucia, Meagan Robar as Connie/Aunt Donna/Eva, Erik Ransom as Vidal/Diamondelle, Chad Kessler as Rabbi Horowitz/Pontessa/Lou, Brandon Goins as Ezio, David Demato as Peter, Mustafa Gatollari as Dominick, Beth Dzuricky as Ondine and ensemble member Marie Fontaine

St. Luke's Theatre is located at 308 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). For tickets, call (212) 239-6200 or visit Telecharge.com.
