Lamman Rucker Set for Layon Gray's 'Black Angels Over Tuskegee'

Lamman Rucker is slated to star in the historical drama 'Black Angels Over Tuskegee'. The play will preview Off-Broadway beginning January 29 at the St. Luke's Theater. An official opening in February is expected. Layon Gray, who penned the play, will also star in the production.

Based on true events, the play is about the first African-American fighter pilots in the U.S. Army Air Forces.

The rest of the cast will include Demetrius Gross, Thom Scott II, Antonio Charity, David Wendell Boykins, Derek Shaun, Jay Jones, and Rich Skidmore.

Lamman Rucker currently appears on the TBS sitcom Tyler Perry's 'Meet the Browns' and has also appeared on 'Tyler Perry's House of Payne.' Other film and television work includes 'Let's Talk', 'N-Secure', 'Ball Don't Lie', 'All My Children', 'As The World Turns', and 'Half & Half'.
