Off-Broadway's sellout comedy sensation How To Be a New Yorker will play its final two performances today at Sofia's Downstairs Theatre before reopening at The Screening Room Theater at Planet Hollywood Times Square on September 20th.

Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, How To Be a New Yorker has been playing to packed houses Off-Broadway since August 22, 2012. How To Be a New Yorker delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Ms. Copeland and Mr. Doyle as they play over 70 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How To Be a New Yorker.

The remaining two performances of How To Be a New Yorker at Sofia's Downstairs Theater (221 West 46 Street) are today (Saturday) at 2 & 7:30 PM, with a running time of 65 minutes (no intermission). Pre-show lunch or dinner is served beginning 30 minutes before each performance. The playing schedule at The Screening Room Theater at Planet Hollywood Times Square (1540 Broadway) will be Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 2 & 7:30 PM.

The entrance is located on 45th Street just east of Broadway. Lunch or dinner will continue to be served beginning 30 minutes before each performance, with a delicious and substantially improved menu consisting of House Salad, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, and Cookies & Brownies.
