GOLF: The Musical, which has played to international acclaim since its Off-Broadway premiere in 2003, is returning to New York City this fall with performances beginning November 20th at the Midtown Theatre, 163 West 46th Street (just east of Broadway). Opening night is set for Monday, December 6th at 8 PM. Book, music and lyrics for GOLF: The Musical are by Michael Roberts, based on a concept by producer Eric Krebs.

Called a "delightfully silly surprise" and "a hilarious revue that you will be savoring long afterward" by The New York Times, GOLF: The Musical returns to New York City after having played throughout the United States and in 50 countries around the world, including a run in Saint Andrews, Scotland, the home of the game of golf, during the 2005 British Open. The show, dubbed a "amiable, madcap revue" by The New Yorker, prompted reviewer David Richardson of WOR Radio to rave "whether or not you play golf, you are going to love this show" and "probably the best entertainment around."

While as a sport, golf may be exasperating for some and exciting for others, in the world of GOLF: The Musical, "what you don't know about golf won't hurt your enjoyment of the revue, and what you do know will only enhance it" (TheaterMania). With a hugely talented quartet of actors, GOLF: The Musical celebrates the fun, frustration and elation of this popular sport in a manner that makes it "funny and fun for the whole foursome" according to Golf Magazine.

Under the direction of Christopher Scott, the cast of GOLF: The Musical will feature Tom Gamblin, Lyn Philistine, Brian Runbeck, and Christopher Sutton. Musical direction is by Ken Lundie.

Tom Gamblin played Jim Farrell in the national company of Titanic, and he was in the Las Vegas and Germany productions of Starlight Express. Lyn Philistine appeared in Disney's On the Record and the Broadway revival of Gypsy starring Bernadette Peters. Brian Runbeck's New York credits include Sly Fox, Vanishing Point and Candida & Her Friends. Christopher Sutton appeared Off-Broadway in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and The It Girl.

Director Christopher Scott has numerous Off-Broadway directing credits including For Lovers Only, Lorenzo, My Secret Garden, and The Big Bang. Musical Director Ken Lundie's credits include Dietrich and Chevalier, A Celebration of the Gershwins and For Lovers Only.

Performances will be Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 & 7 PM. There will be an added performance Monday, December 6th at 8 PM (Opening Night). Tickets are $45 and include one drink at the bar, which opens 30 minutes prior to showtime.
