ForePlay is Flux Theatre Ensemble's exploratory play reading series, in which contemporary playwrights are asked to riff on the themes connected to the mainstage production. This ForePlay will feature 16 playwrights re-imagining 8 stories from the Old Testament, inspired by Flux's upcoming production of August Schulenburg's JACOB'S HOUSE, a modern retelling of the Jacob wrestling the angel story. Join playwrights Johnna Adams, Jeremy Basescu, Erin Browne, Bekah Brunstetter, Leila Buck, James Comtois, Christine Evans, Fengar Gael, Michael John Garcés, Bill George, David Ian Lee, Kristen Palmer, Brian Pracht, Mac Rogers, and Crystal Skillman as they further explore themes of faith, family, legacy, and power. All readings are FREE and open to the public, with a $5 suggested donation.

Flux Theatre Ensemble's mainstage production of JACOB'S HOUSE will run April 29-May 22 at The Access Theater Gallery (380 Broadway at White Street). Tickets will go on sale March 17th.

Flux Theatre Ensemble is a member of The Passion Play Festival Coalition; a collaboration of theatres exploring the themes of Epic Theatre Ensemble's upcoming production of Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play. For more information on The Passion Play Festival Coalition visit www.facebook.com/PassionPlayNYC.
