Fantasticks Welcomes Florence and Nostrand Into Cast Tonight

The Fantasticks, the world's longest-running musical, has welcomed two new cast members to its fold.  Margaret Anne Florence begins performances as Luisa this evening, and Michael Nostrand began performances as Mortimer (The Man Who Dies) earlier this month.  They join Dennis Parlato, Nick Spangler, Tom Flagg, Gene Jones, Jordan Nichols, Evy Ortiz, Steve Routman and John Thomas Waite in the cast.
 
Margaret Anne Florence appeared in Maccabeat! (New York Music Theater Festival), Company (Piccolo Spoleto Festival USA), Street Scene and Godspell (NYU). Film credits include My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Our Lady of Victory (upcoming) starring Ellen Burstyn and Carla Gugino, The New Daughter (upcoming) starring Kevin Costner.  TV credits include Law & Order and Guiding Light.  M.A., Music Theater Performance, New York University; B.A. Classical Voice, College of Charleston.
 
Michael Nostrand played Mortimer in the original Sullivan Street Playhouse production of The Fantasticks over a thousand times.  On Broadway he appeared as Smee in Peter Pan and in The Corn Is Green.  His national tour credits include Peter Pan, Jelly's Last Jam, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Dracula.  Film and TV credits include Phoebe In Wonderland, Stephanie Daley, 10-8, Family Affair, The Beast, Coach, Profiler, Legacy and Smee in A&E's Emmy Award-winning Peter Pan.  Michael directed the behind-the-scenes segments for the feature films Half Nelson and Stephanie Daley, and is currently co-directing Playing for Keeps, a documentary for Silverwood Films.
