Creation Production Company To Present WILD MAN At The Wild Project 1/11/2010
Creation Production Company will present WILD MAN, an explosive new autobiographical performance from two-time Obie Award-winner Matthew Maguire. Following its sold-out run at HERE's 2009 Summer Sublet Series, WILD MAN will play a strictly limited engagement at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street, between Ave. A and Ave. B) beginning on Monday, January 11, 2010.
In WILD MAN, acclaimed and award-winning playwright/actor/director Matthew Maguire grapples with mortality as he explores the wildest moments of his own life. Probing everything from ecstasy to runaway horses, from the Book of Esdras to smuggling watermelons, from the Church of Scientology to the art of cheatin' death, this deeply personal and compelling journey exposes the Wild Man in each of us, and begs us to unleash him.
Written, performed and directed by Mr. Maguire, WILD MAN features lighting design by Ryan Seelig.
WILD MAN has been made possible in part by the New York Foundation for the Arts, which awarded a grant to Mr. Maguire for its creation. This project was made possible with public funds from NYSCA.
