A concert version of Billy Butler's GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN will be performed for ONE NIGHT ONLY, tonight, June 25th at 11:30pm at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater. Composer Billy Butler & his band The Monster Makers are back again at Joe's Pub to celebrate the new EP from the GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN soundtrack.

Special guest singers include Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis, Rachel Potter (currently starring as the Mistress in the Broadway revival of Evita), Louis Hobson (originated the role of the Doctor in the Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize winning musical, Next to Normal) & Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage - Broadway & National Tour). The show will also feature previous GAY BRIDE cast members Megan Kane, Wade Elkins & Derek Carley.

Originally produced as a workshop at The Players' Ring in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN'S journey to Off-Broadway includes a developmental production as part of the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival & was recently selected for the iStar Theatre Lab inaugural Lab, scheduled to take place July 16 through August 5, 2012, in New York City. The production will be directed by Rachel Klein.

"We were thrilled to receive so many wonderful musicals for consideration. GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN was not only a fun romp, but also included moving moments about love, acceptance & understanding who we really are & strive to be," said Laura Bultman, Managing Director of iStar Theatre Lab. "There is timely truth to the story. We are excited to watch the show develop with the help of the Lab's resources."

The concert is produced in partnership with AKA Studio Productions & noted entertainment attorney Eric S. Goldman, who will produce GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN Off-Broadway, with direction & choreography by Rachel Klein. Aaron Grant serves as Executive Producer & General manager. Written by Dane E. Leeman (book) & Billy Butler (book, music & lyrics), GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN is a pop/rock, fairy tale musical that follows the exploits of four high school friends on one fateful Halloween night at a very unconventional Monsters Ball. It's John Hughes meets Scooby-Doo, and asks the age old question: "Will the girl get the girl?"

Billy Butler (Book, Music & Lyrics) is an award winning actor & director who was honored for "Excellence in American Theatre" by the New England Theatre Council, along with his colleagues, Gary Garrison (President of Dramatists Guild) & Oscar-winning screen writer, Ernest Thompson. He is a founding member of New Theatre Works & produced the GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN original workshop cast recording.

Producer Eric S. Goldman has more than twenty years of experience as an entertainment attorney & has counseled many Tony Award winners as both production counsel & artists' representative. In addition to Broadway & Off-Broadway projects, he has repped producers & artists internationally in London, Sydney, Tokyo & China & acted as counsels for non-profits Northlight Theatre in Chicago, Blank Theatre in LA & New York's Classical Theatre of Harlem.

The concert is tonight, June 25th @ 11:30pm at Joe's Pub ~ 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets are $15 from (212) 539-8770 or www.joespub.com.
