Live at Cherry Lane Theatre
May 26-30 @ 8pm & May 29-31 @2pm This show contains mature language and content. Recommended for Ages 16+. StarKid Productions is an online entertainment Production Company that produces original and parody musical comedies, albums, and merchandise. It was founded in 2009, after it's first show (a Harry Potter parody called "A Very Potter Musical") went viral on YouTube and garnered the creative team international attention, thousands of fans, and millions of views. Since then, the group (headed up by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Brian Holden) has produced 8 more theatrical productions, 2 nation-wide concert tours, 2 sketch comedy shows with the Second City, and many more online videos and live events. The team's shows tend to be on the raunchy side, and it's fan base consists largely of teens, college kids, and 20-somethings. Some StarKid alums that have gone on to international, main-stream success, include Darren Criss (who played Blaine on Fox's "GLEE," and has appeared on Broadway as J. Pierrepont Finch in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" and as Hedwig in "Hedwig And The Angry Inch"), Carlos Valdes (who plays Cisco on the CW's "The Flash"), and A.J. Holmes (who has appeared on Broadway, The West End, and on tour as Elder Cunningham in "Book of Mormon").
