BLANK! THE MUSICAL to Open at New World Stages in November

Theatergoers, comedy fans, and NYC visitors are invited to experience the magic of Broadway like never before with a groundbreaking interactive theatrical event: BLANK! THE MUSICAL. It was jointly announced today by Matt Britten, executive producer; Aaron Price, co-founder and CEO of Livecube; and Shannon O'Neill, artistic director of Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre that BLANK! THE MUSICAL is set to begin performances at New World Stages in midtown Manhattan beginning November 1 for a special limited engagement tryout for six weeks only. The show is co-created by Michael Girts, Mike Descoteaux, and T.J. Shanoff. Casting and creative team for the special theatrical event will be announced soon.

Utilizing a specially designed mobile app, BLANK! THE MUSICAL is a unique entertainment event, which marks the debut of a new "stage and screen" technology. Developed in partnership with Livecube, this mobile technology will allow audience members to direct the action, simply by using their mobile phones. For the first time ever, audiences will be able to engage with the show and each other and play a crucial role in creating a brand-new fully realized musical every night.
