Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) announces a jam-packed March lineup featuring exciting new comedy, music and theater programming. Ars Nova's series aim to support the development of exciting new work from rising talent. Developmental series descriptions follow and a schedule by date can be found later in the release.

Project Residency New projects invited into residency for a focused period of work. Artists are provided resources and support, allowing them to develop work on their feet.

Uncharted A concert series to showcase the work of burgeoning musical theater writers, often debuting new material.

Out Loud Provides support and essential resources to promising emerging playwrights through public readings of exceptional new plays.

Showgasm New York's rowdiest (and free) variety show featuring a wide range of artists showing off remarkable talents.

Special Events A chance to showcase exciting artists often returning to the Ars Nova stage with new work.

PROJECT RESIDENCY
The Woman Behind the Voice:
An Intimate Evening with Miranda Sings
(Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 @ 8pm; Sunday, March 27 @ 7 and 9:30 pm; $15)
YouTube sensation Miranda Sings unveils a brand new show featuring a behind the scenes gander into the life of the rising superstar. Directed by Kerry Whigham.

SPECIAL EVENTS
I Light Up My Life (Wednesday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 30 @ 8pm; $15)
Mark Sam Rosenthal (star of Off-Broadway hit Blanche survives Katrina in a FEMA Trailer Named Desire) performs excerpts from his perhaps never-to-be-published masterpiece: the world's first preemptive celebrity autobiography.

Showgasm (Thursday, March 17 @ 8pm; Free with RSVP)
Ars Nova's rowdy (and free!) monthly variety show is designed to present fresh music, comedy, theater, burlesque and vaudeville. Hosted by Lucas Kavner, this month's lineup features Molly Pope, Jen Kwok, Isaac Oliver, HolidayHoliday and Town Hall.

He Who Laughs Live (Friday, April 1 @ 8pm; $15)
Isaac Oliver's blog, www.hewholaughs.com, goes live in this evening of stories, secrets and sexual awkwardness, all relayed by Oliver and his collection of special guests.

UNCHARTED
Gordon Leary & Julia Meinwald (Tuesday, March 22 @ 8pm; $15)
The duo presents songs from Pregnancy Pact, their new rock/pop musical inspired by
recent events in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Joel B. New (Tuesday, March 29 @ 8pm; $15)
An evening of songs from To Hell and Back, a new emo/pop/rock musical featuring a
fantastical take on the Orpheus and Eurydice myth set in present day Nebraska.

SPECIAL EVENT
Jeremiah James (Saturday, March 19 @ 7 and 10pm; $20)
Hot on the heels of a sold-out European tour with supergroup Teatro, Jeremiah James celebrates the recent release of his Elvis-inspired solo album, Tupelo, with an electrifying live concert.

OUT LOUD
This is My Office (Monday, March 28 @ 7pm; Free with RSVP)
By Andy Bragen; Directed by Hal Brooks
Offered an artist residency in an abandoned office space, Andy Bragen starts his year with bright hopes and big plans. But he soon finds himself succumbing to doughnuts, lethargy and a paralyzing sense of déjà vu in this humorous exploration of fear, art, gluttony and a legacy of failure.
