Ars Nova Announces August Events, Including REMEMBER THE TIME And SHOWGASM

As New York's premier hub for emerging artists and new work, Ars Nova is committed to developing and producing eclectic theater, comedy and music to feed today's popular culture. To that end, Ars Nova strives to create daring collaborations, meld disciplines and give clear voice to a new generation of artists. Founded on the principle that a professional and safe environment where risk-taking is encouraged will cultivate a community of innovators, our fundamental mission is to reinvigorate the world of live performance by supporting smart, surprising new work from the next wave of emerging artists. Ars Nova was founded in memory of Gabe Wiener.

Remember the Time: The Music of Michael Jackson

Broadway's most talented performers come together to celebrate the iconic songbook of one of the most celebrated artists of our time. Broadway's Jesse Vargas guides us on a tour of the many stages of Michael: from Motown's Jackson 5 to the group's disco and dance turn, and, finally, to platinum pop stardom. Join us for a rocking evening of some of the most popular songs of the past fifty years, performed by Broadway favorites and backed by a thumping band.

With a genre-defying rock/classical sound, three-cello and percussion ensemble Break of Reality are at the forefront of New York music's next wave.
