Veteran actress, singer and comedienne Andrea Wolff will star in "Loose Screws," an original musical comedy beginning on Friday, May 6th (7PM) at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street, located in the lower level of the West Bank Café on Theatre Row). Directed by Dennis Deal with a book and score drawing from material from Broadway musicals and original songs written & composed by Jeff Halpern and Mr. Deal, Loose Screws will open on May 9th and play a limited engagement on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays thru June 4th. Backed by a three-piece band (guitars - Jim Gately, drums & percussion - Eric Halvorson, keyboard- Mr. Halpern) and two back-up singers/actors, Leisa Mather and Jeanne Montano (both Forbidden Broadway alumna), Loose Screws has adult content and is recommended for Mature Audiences only.

Written by Mr. Deal, Mr. Halpern and Ms. Wolff, Loose Screws is the fictional and risqué biographical journey of also-ran entertainer named Chelsea Sutton Place. Through hilarious flashbacks, Chelsea shares her rise from down' dirty Hell's Kitchen dives, to X rated movie stardom, through Studio 54- era debauchery and ultimately, the melt-down of a country western singer (Miss Pixie Dickler) with multiple personality disorders---and her triumphant rehab comeback!

Andrea Wolff might be only a diminutive 4'-11," but she has had a soaring professional career which began at 17 and never stopped until she received the role of a lifetime-wife and mother. But now she's back and ready to turn the proverbial screw in Loose Screws. Her countless credits include her performing on stage, television and in Las Vegas - appearing in the renowned Bottoms Up Revue at Caesars Palace. Her theatre credits include a record-setting number of performances as Ermengarde and Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly! (Broadway and National Tours) where she worked with Carol Channing, Ethel Merman, Dorthy Lamour, Betty Grable and Phyllis Diller. Other credits include: The Imaginary Invalid with E.G. Marshall and Ruby Dee and Grease, opposite Andrea McArdle. From appearing on the Ed Sullivan show with "Your Fathers Mustache Band" to fronting several rock bands, Andrea has celebrated a long and varied career and is primed for her starring role in Loose Screws.

Director and writer Dennis Deal most recent credits include: An Evening with Scott Bakula, Women of a Certain Age and Dreaming of Mister Porter. Audiences will remember his award-winning direction of Nite Club Confidential, a stylish cabaret-style musical send-up which had successful runs in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Jeff Halpern is a composer, arranger, music director, voice teacher and coach. His many credits include music direction for The Secret Garden (National Tour), Beauty and the Beast (LA), Das Barbecue (Off Broadway), Carly Simon, Anne Bogart;,Martha Clarke, John Kelly and serving as the Associate Conductor for Houston Grand Opera.
