Alexander, Dominczyk & More Set For Rattlestick's THERE ARE NO MORE BIG SECRETS
Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 16th season with the world premiere of There Are No More Big Secrets written by Obie Award-winner Heidi Schreck and directed by Kip Fagan. Performances begin Friday, November 5th at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between W. 1tth & Perry Streets). The official opening night is set for Sunday, November 14th at 7pm. The production is scheduled to run through Sunday, December 12th.
The cast of There Are No More Big Secrets features: Nadia Alexander (NY stage debut), Dagmara Dominczyk (Enchanted April, "The Count of Monte Cristo"), Gibson Frazier (Telephone, God's Ear), Christina Kirk (A Lifetime of Burning, Well), and Adam Rothenberg (A Steady Rain, "Damages").The creative team includes John McDermott (scenic design), Jessica Pabst (costume design), Matt Frey (lighting design), Daniel Kluger (sound design), Eugenia Furneaux-Arends (properties) and Katie Takacs (technical direction). Melissa Mae Gregus is Production Stage Manager and Michael Denis is Assistant Stage Manager.In There Are No More Big Secrets, Charles and Maxine haven't heard from Gabe since he fled the country to start a new life in Moscow in the early nineties. When he returns almost 20 years later with his Russian wife - a journalist seeking asylum in the United States - he seeks refuge and much more in the home of his once dear friends. Inspired by Heidi's own experience working in Russia, There Are No More Big Secrets is an examination of life's exiles and the uncertain limits of friendship.Kip Fagan (Director) is a director and sometimes playwright. Plays include MORT (a solo play about composer Morton Feldman created with poet Nico Vassilakis), Welcome to Kitty Hawk (a collage play about poets Frank O'Hara and John Ashbery and painter Grace Hartigan), Saddle Creek 1989, Chewing Gum Walking, and Fresh Water Plays. His plays have been produced at HERE Arts Center and Clubbed Thumb (New York), Printer's Devil (Seattle), and the Blue Barn (Omaha). His work as a director has been seen in NYC at Cherry Lane Theatre, SPF, HERE, The Flea, Clubbed Thumb, Partial Comfort, Dixon Place, Juilliard, and NYU, and around the country at Actors Theatre of Louisville Humana Festival of New American Plays, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Hartford Stage, The Playwrights' Center, Empty Space Theatre, and Printer's Devil, which he co-founded.
