Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues its 12th season with a pre-performance talk with three members of the cast of A Free Man of Color.   On Thursday, December 9th, at 6 pm actors Jeffrey Wright, Veanne Cox and Joseph Marcell will discuss their work in John Guare's new play.
 
Platform Series events take place in the early evening in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street).  Admission is free and open to all; however, seating in the lobby is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only, beginning at a half hour before the talk.  (Speakers and schedules are subject to change.  Call 212-362-7600 to confirm on the day of the event.)
 
Jeffrey Wright plays the title role of Jacques Cornet.  Broadway: Topdog/Underdog (Tony Award nomination), Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, Angels in America (Tony Award)  Film:  Cadillac Records, Quantum of Solace, W., Casino Royale, Syriana, Broken Flowers, The Manchurian Candidate, Ali, Shaft, Basquiat, Presumed Innocent.  TV:  Lackawanna Blues, Angels in America (Emmy, Golden Globe Awards), Homicide: Life on the Street, New York Undercover, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Separate But Equal.

 Veanne Cox plays several roles including an uptight wife seduced by Jacques, a madame, and Robert Livingston, a member of Thomas Jefferson's cabinet.  Broadway: La Cage Aux Folles, Caroline or Change, The Dinner Party, Company, Smile.  Many Film and TV credits include: Erin Brockovich, You've Got Mail, Miss Firecracker, Royal Pains, Boston Legal, CSI, Joan of Arcadia, Judging Amy, Seinfeld.  2008 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence.
 
Joseph Marcell plays the role of Jacques' doctor and confidant.  Theatre:  more than 30 plays with the National Theatre of Great Britain, Royal Shakespeare Company, The Young Vic and The Royal Court Theatre in London.  Film:  A Beautiful Life, Cry Freedom, Sioux City, The Loser.  TV:  The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Rough Crossings, Eastenders.
