A Class Act NY Stages SEUSSICAL JR. at the York Theatre This Weekend
A Class Act NY, Manhattan's award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, will be putting up two full-scale productions of SEUSSICAL this weekend, December 13 and 14 at the York Theatre in Manhattan.
Produced by Artistic Director, Jessica Rofé. Directed by Broadway's, Sarah Amengual (Maria in WEST SIDE STORY) and Music Direction by Philip de la Cal.
MTI's website states this about the show, "Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold - not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!"
There will be one cast that will perform in two shows. The casts features: Olivia Sheridan, Amanda Swickle, Mateo Lizcano, Madison Dietrich, Allie Brault, Skylar Jeffries, Carly Gold, Phebe Barnett, Fernanda Kligerman, Jasmine Sanchez, Priscila Kligerman, Izzy Pingrey, Grace Pitts, Kirra Gonzalez Murphy, Marley Reiner, Misty Brown, Riley Brown, Evan Fine, Seryn Kim, Sofia Gonzalez, Zoe Latanision, Ava Swinton, Amelia Hernandez Gioia, Rosey Baker Sorensen, Annabella Choi, and Athena Psihudakis.
