2011 RENT HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS PAGEANT Performed at New World Stages
The cast of the off-Broadway hit Rent will perform the 2011 Rent Holiday Christmas Pageant Extravaganza Spectacular on Monday, December 5, at 11pm at New World Stages, 340 West 50 Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. The event benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The 2011 Rent Holiday Christmas Pageant Extravaganza Spectacular will be an evening of holly jolly follies and magical musical mayhem, as the cast of Rent presents a classic holiday pageant, performing seasonal favorites such as “White Christmas” and “The Dreidel Song” as well as comedy sketches and scenes from classic holiday movies.
The cast of Rent is Annaleigh Ashford, Margot Bingham, Adam Chanler-Berat, Nicholas Christopher, Arianda Fernandez, Marcus Paul James, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Corbin Reid, Michael Rodriguez, Matt Shingledecker, Ephraim Sykes, Ben Thompson, Michael Wartella, Morgan Weed, Xavier Cano, Sean Michael Murray, and Genny Lis Padilla.
On Friday, November 18 the cast of Rent became part of television history when it surprised Regis Philbin with a performance of a specially written version of “Seasons of Love” during the closing minutes of his final episode of “Live! with Regis and Kelly."
Advance tickets are $15, with tickets available at the door for $20. A special VIP ticket package is available for $50, which includes reserved seating, drink service at your table, and a Rent Playbill signed by the entire company.
