Requirements vary by production. Many community theater and regional productions welcome performers of all experience levels, while others may request specific training or experience. Check each listing for details.
Equity auditions are for productions operating under contracts with Actors' Equity Association (the union for professional actors and stage managers). Non-Equity auditions are for productions without a union contract, and are open to all performers regardless of union membership.
Compensation varies widely. Some non-Equity productions offer pay, stipends, or housing, while others are volunteer or offer only a small honorarium. Payment details are typically included in each audition listing.
